WHO WE ARE


Born and raised in Southern California, Glen Moss attended the University of California (Los Angeles) where he graduated in 1965 with a B. S. degree in Business Administration.  He subsequently moved to Northern California to attend law school where he graduated in 1968 with a J. D. degree from Boalt Hall (University of California, Berkeley).  Mr. Moss was admitted to the California State Bar in 1969 and has been an actively practicing attorney ever since. During his nearly 40 years in private practice, Glen Moss has successfully handled a wide variety of cases including insurance coverage disputes, contract problems, real estate, tax, probate, trust preparation, administration and litigation.  He has also served as an arbitrator for the US District and State courts.  A real estate specialist, Mr. Moss taught the first Construction Law course at Golden Gate University Law School.  He has also authored articles on real estate appraisal, the mortgage crisis of 2008, and the proper accounting for advanced legal fees.  Most recently, the Continuing Education of Bar (CEB) has selected Mr. Moss to update three chapters in its treatise on Real Estate Security Interests and Foreclosure Law.  Glen Moss is a member of the Alameda County Bar Association and a former Board Member of the Alameda-Contra Costa Trial Lawyers Association.


Ann Murphy was born and raised in Washington State, but moved to Oakland, California to attend Mills College on full scholarship.  At Mills, she majored and graduated with honors in American History.  After several years as a doctoral student studying the American Labor Movement as the University of California (Berkeley) she left to pursue a legal career.  She graduated from Golden Gate University Law School and was admitted to the California Bar Association in 1975. Ms. Murphy’s early career focused on environmental issues at the Environmental Protection Agency and on environmental / public utility and consumer issues at TURN – a non-profit corporation that represents the interest of residential utility customers.  As counsel for TURN, she was successful in obtaining a California Supreme Court review of two cases involving consumer utility issues.  This was followed by a stint with Werchick and Werchick, where Ms. Murphy worked on cases involving professional negligence, and commercial and class action litigation.  Ms. Murphy’s current practice focuses primarily on personal injury and workers compensation matters.
